Cop investigator charged with DUI on New Year’s Day

A supervisor for the agency that investigates Chicago Police misconduct who was pulled over early New Year’s Day had trouble following directions and fell asleep in the back of a squad car when he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, according to police.


George Roberts, 50, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, according to Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Ana Pacheco. Roberts was driving a black 2007 Chevrolet Trail Blazer when he was pulled over in the 1500 block of East 85th Place, according to a police report.
