An Aware TXT Simulator was on North Lake’s Central Campus earlier this month to provide awareness about the dangers of texting while driving. Above, a student sits behind the wheel of the state-of-the-art simulator and texts, exposing the dangers involved while being distracted by the phone. Irving has not banned texting while driving, but the nearby city of Arlington has banned cellphone use, texting, tweeting, emailing and browsing on the phone.
