The driver of the Honda that collided with a Gaston County ambulance is facing charges, including a DWI charge. Emergency officials say the car had lost control before crashing into the ambulance head-on. The wreck sent five people total to area hospitals with serious injuries.

The wreck happened around 3:45 p.m. Monday on the 200 block of Stanley Spencer Mountain Road.
