Driver in fatal NE Portland crash arrested on manslaughter, drunk driving charges

A 28-year-old Portland man was arrested on accusations of manslaughter and additional charges in a single-car crash that claimed the life of a passenger early Sunday morning.

 

Lt. Steve Alexander, a spokesman for the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, said Gawayne Streeter was behind the wheel of 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix around 6 a.m. Sunday when the car struck a utility pole at Northeast 102nd Avenue and Fremont Street.
