Drunk driver woke, went wrong way onto Saw Mill ramp, cops say

A drunken driver awakened from a deep sleep while behind the wheel drove the wrong way on an exit ramp of the Saw Mill River Parkway on Tuesday morning, police said.

Kenneth Breil, 42, of Yonkers was asleep in the driver’s seat of a locked Chevy Tahoe stopped in the left lane of Executive Boulevard when he was approached by Westchester County police Officer Joseph Kraus shortly after 6 a.m., officials said. Although Kraus knocked on the windows and shouted, Breil continued sleeping, police said.
