The evening crash in Coachella led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man.

A man accused of drunken driving plowed his pickup truck into a full-size sport utility vehicle at a Coachella intersection and drove off, a sheriff’s sergeant said Sunday.

The driver of a Toyota Tundra pickup truck, Sagrado Orellana, 37, of Coachella, traveled west on Avenue 52, and allegedly failed to yield while making a turn and crashed into a GMC Yukon at Jennifer Way, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Jeronimo Contreras said.
