A 52-year-old Williamson woman led sheriff’s deputies on a short chase after the car she was driving hit a utility pole on Lake Road in the town about 6 p.m. Friday.
Deputies said a car driven by Sandra A. Visconte-Larosa, of 2786 Shepherd Road, hit a fire hydrant, damaging her vehicle. She attempted to drive away, but struck a utility pole and guide wire before police were able to stop her. She has been charged with drunken driving, unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, refusal to submit to a chemical test and moving from a driving lane unsafely.
