A string of prior convictions and another one this past week for driving while intoxicated means an area man will be spending a number of years behind bars.

Carlos Burrolas Marquez, age 53, was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in 106th District Court here his past Wednesday to a charge of driving while intoxicated with two or more previous convictions for the same type offense.
