Easton man faces DUI charge after dragging tractor-trailer’s landing gear on Route 512, police say

An Easton man who “may have” drunk nine to 12 beers, slept for a couple of hours and then returned to his job as a truck driver is charged with drunken driving, Colonial Regional police report.

 

Daniel Pfefferie, 54, of Lehigh Street, was driving a blue tractor-trailer about 7:54 p.m. Nov. 18 south on Route 512 near Southland Drive in Hanover Township, Northampton County, when police noticed sparks coming from the landing gear of the trailer, according to a news release.
