Felony drunk-driving, misdemeanor records addressed in Colorado bills

Two bills in the Colorado statehouse could gauge legislators’ capacity for toughness and forgiveness.

 

One bill would make repeated drunken driving arrests a felony, and the other would allow those with a single misdemeanor to petition to have it removed from their records if they have proved worthy of a clean public record three years after completing their sentence.
