A Florida driver who was unable to avoid hitting a parked police car with its emergency lights flashing also told police he couldn’t bother with their sobriety test, noting, “I wouldn’t be able to do that when I’m sober.”

The bizarre incident occurred at 2:17 a.m. as Clinton Shockley, 25, of Tampa, was driving a red 2007 Toyota that collided with rear driver’s side of the Daytona Beach police car, causing extensive damage to both vehicles, the report states.
