An Illinois State Police trooper sitting in his squad car with a drunk driving suspect he had just arrested was hit by another suspected drunk driver early Saturday morning, authorities say.

The trooper and both of the suspected drunk drivers were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
