An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is facing charges of driving under the influence in connection with a hit-and-run crash earlier this year.

Officer Amy Brooke Coarsey turned herself in to authorities Friday.

The crash happened on the night of Sept. 20 on State Road 13 and Braaschville Road in St. Johns County.
