UTICA — After a series of DWI arrests that followed a deadly hit-and-run accident 13 years ago, Scott Zimmer appears to be finally getting his drinking problem under control, a judge said Tuesday.

So as long as Zimmer, 47, of Sauquoit, doesn’t violate the terms of his probation by July 15, he will only face a year in the Oneida County jail, Acting Oneida County Court Judge John Balzano explained.
