A 30 year veteran of the Lake Charles Police Department has been issued a misdemeanor summons for DWI.

Police say the summons was issued for Lt. Robert Rhodes after a patrol officer, on a routine patrol, noticed a vehicle stopped in the roadway of Pryce and Ann Streets. Officials say the Officer thoughts Rhodes was possibly ill, so he was brought to a local hospital. Officials say, once there it was suspected that Rhodes was possibly impaired.
