A man a prosecutor said has nine prior DUI convictions appeared in court Wednesday on charges that he drove drunk, crashed and then ran away and had to be pursued by police.

Gary Alan Roma, 53, appeared in Yellowstone County Justice Court on charges of felony DUI and misdemeanor counts of failure to stop at an accident and failure to give immediate notice of an accident.
