A man is facing multiple DUI charges in connection with a Northwest Side crash that left a pedestrian dead Tuesday evening.

Maciej Machniewicz, 45, was driving south on Austin Avenue about 6:40 p.m. before “abruptly” turning east onto Belmont Avenue, according to a statement from Chicago Police.
