A Santa Rosa man was in jail Monday on suspicion of slamming his Dodge pickup into the back of another car while drunk, then fleeing the crash, the CHP said.

Mario Daniel Ballinas, 46, faces numerous charges, including hit-and-run, DUI, driving with a suspended license and violation of probation after the Friday afternoon crash.
