First time drunk driving offenders may soon be required to have breathalyzers in their cars.

Newly introduced legislation would require all 50 states to mandate the installation of the ignition interlocks for all DUI offenders. If states chose not to comply, they would risk losing highway funding. This change would mean even offenders with low blood alcohol concentration would have to use the devices in their cars.
