Riding with impaired drivers increases teens’ DWI risks

Teens are more inclined to drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol after having been exposed to similar behavior while riding as a passenger, a new study suggests.

 

It finds that the earlier and more frequently teens reported riding with an impaired driver, the more likely they themselves were to drive under the influence.
