A La Joya ISD police officer was charged with drunk driving and carrying illegal drugs.

The officer was pulled over in Edinburg last Friday.

After questioning and searching his black Cadillac, he was arrested.

Raul Garcia was charged this afternoon with drunk driving and possessing cocaine.
