State appeals court to hear Ovid DWI case

The state’s highest court will consider the case of a Trumansburg woman arrested for DWI in Seneca County nearly 21⁄2 years ago.

The Court of Appeals is expected to hear oral arguments in People v. Fratangelo sometime this spring.

“I think only 2 percent of all criminal cases get to the Court of Appeals, so yes, I was very surprised they granted leave in this case,” Seneca County District Attorney Barry Porsch said.
