State Ethics Commission: Agawam police lieutenant violated conflict of interest law

An Agawam police lieutenant is being accused of violating state conflict of interest laws after how he responded to a drunk driving accident involving one of the city’s police officers.

It happened in June 2012 when then-officer Danielle Petrangelo was stopped after hitting a guard rail on route 5, driving the wrong way near the Agawam West Springfield border.
