A Hillsborough Sheriff’s deputy is recovering from minor injuries after a drunken driver slammed into his patrol car Monday night, deputies said.

The Sheriff’s Office said Dep. Jonathan Winters was seated inside the car at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and N. Forbes Road when a 2007 Dodge Durango SUV rear-ended the vehicle.
