Two seniors on the University of Iowa football team were arrested for drunk driving early Wednesday morning in two separate incidents in downtown Iowa City.
Wide receiver Damond Powell, 22, was stopped shortly after 1:20 a.m. for driving with no headlights or taillights. According to the criminal complaint, Powell admitted to police that he had been drinking. A preliminary breath test showed a blood-alcohol content level of .122, the Iowa limit is .08.
