A Visalia police officer accused of drunken driving last year has been fired from her job as a cop.

Erica Martinez, who has been charged with DUI and excessive blood-alcohol levels, was fired by Visalia police late last month. Police department staff would not comment on the reasons she was let go or the charges pending against her.

“I can only confirm she is no longer an employee here,” Sgt. Ozzie Dominguez said. “We do not discuss personnel matters.”
