Wash. lawmakers mull toughening distracted driving law

A spokeswoman for the Washington Traffic Safety Commission said the law, which was set in 2007, is outdated. The state is losing out on a lot of money because of it, she added.

 

The law bans drivers from texting of talking on hand-held cell phones behind the wheel.
