In the 2014 legislative session, West Virginia legislators decided to make some changes to the current laws in place for DUI offenders. When Senate Bill 434 passed, it helped change driver behavior and reduce DUI related accidents by eliminating the license revocation period for DUI offenders.

Now that the mandatory revocation period has been eliminated, the ignition interlock system used to monitor DUI offenders can be installed immediately.
