A WESTERN Province rugby star was arrested at a police roadblock on suspicion of drunk driving early on Sunday.

“Gordon’s Bay police arrested a 20-year-old rugby player at about 1.10am,” police spokesman Andre Traut said last night. “Police were busy with a vehicle checkpoint in Faure Marine Drive when they pulled the suspect’s vehicle over and noticed he appeared to be under the influence.”
